|Village Greens is the Flathead Valley's leader in hosting tournaments and events of all shapes and sizes.
We specialize in coordinating all facets of your events -- from initial planning, to marketing, to orchestrating the basics the day of the tournament.
Whether you are planning a corporate event, a golf outing to reward your clients or employees, a business conference, a golf reunion,
a fundraising event or a golf tournament, let us help you make all the arrangements at Village Greens.
This simple outline takes you through the 8 week cycle of hosting a successful event.
|I. || Determine what type of event you are planning. (company tourney, family reunion, fundraiser, wedding party, etc.) |
|II. || Figure out a few dates that work best and then contact Village Greens. |
|III. || Schedule a meeting with our professional staff. Here is where we will discuss the nuts and bolts of your event. This includes: budget, sponsorship, set fees, entry forms, volunteers, food and beverage services, type of format, tee prizes, silent auction, etc. Discounted fees are always available and they will be set depending upon, the size of your group, time of day, month selected, and whether or not you will be using golf shop gift certificates and using our food and beverage services. |
|IV. || Once we have a plan, the first step is to market your event. Mail flyers, prepare entry forms, find the appropriate sponsorships. It is recommended that this is done at least 8 weeks prior to your event date. |
|V. || Once you start receiving feedback and start receiving entry forms we will assess how many participants we except. |
|VI. || It is important to mention that our restaurant, Spike's 19th Hole, excels in providing exceptional food and beverage services for all groups and tournaments. We offer many wonderful food items: from thick juicy burgers and chicken sandwiches to amazing ribs and steaks. |
|VII. || Approximately 3 days prior to your event date we will meet again. This is where our professional staff will take over. We will help with tournament pairings, starting hole assignments, setting up hole prizes and putting/chipping contests, printing rules sheets, and preparing scoresheets. |
|VIII. || On the day of your event it is recommended that all volunteers, committee staff and all golf professionals be here 2 hours prior. We will set up your registration area and walk you through the registration process. We will run out all hole sponsor signs, hole prizes, hole in 1 prizes, etc.. In an effort to keep things on time, we will direct participants on where to go and at what time. Play shall commence at the given tournament time. |
|IX. || Once your group is out on the golf course our staff will set up the banquet area for your meal afterwards. |
|X. || Once play is completed, our professional staff will assist with all scoring. We will check and post scores and pick up hole prizes. |
|XI. || Once scores are tallied, a results sheet will be given to the tournament chairman. Typically then a small awards ceremony is given. We will assist with gift certificates and other prizes. |
|XII. || After completion of the awards ceremony you and your party can now relax knowing your event at Village Greens went smooth. |
|XIII. || We will then calculate a final bill and part ways until we meet again. |
|XIV. || The Village Greens staff will then do a final clean up. |
Here is to a successful tournament season here at Village Greens!
